Location: A beautiful, private property just outside of Daylesford
Come together with family and community for a four-day immersive experience that celebrates nature, creativity and connection. Our camp is open to all ages and offers a variety of hands-on workshops, including carving, natural dyeing, weaving and fire-by-friction.
What to Expect
- Daily Dinners: Enjoy delicious, wholesome meals each evening, with options for everyone, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices.
- Workshops & Activities: Dive into creative and practical skills like singing, weaving, carving, candle making, natural dyeing and fire-by-friction.
- Lake & Games: Cool off in the five-acre lake and join daily games and activities run by Punk Caterpillar mentors.
- Spaciousness & Connection: Plenty of room to relax, connect and enjoy nature. There will be a tea station, spring water and a dishwashing station to keep things running smoothly.
- Kids Camp Area: Older kids (ages 11+) can enjoy their own dedicated camp area, fostering independence and fun with their peers. They are welcome to come without their parents if they are already connected to Punk Caterpillar programs.
- Community Spirit and Village Tending: Everyone gets involved in daily tasks, from wash-up crews to fire tending, creating a true village atmosphere. We will have a rotating roster to keep things well tended and running smoothly as a Village.
Unplug and reconnect with nature, share stories around the fire and enjoy a peaceful, earth-based rhythm. This is more than just a camp; it’s a celebration of creativity, connection and community. Technology, phones, electronic games and devices are left at the door so we can truly step into the earth time and timelessness that this opportunity offers.
About tickets
We're taking a maximum of 60 people for this year's camp. We had a similar number last year and found it to be such a beautiful size for creating that village feeling without becoming too big.
The camp is volunteer-powered, and we do our best to keep the pricing as accessible as we can for families. Payment plans are available, and we'll have beautiful catered dinners as part of the experience.
This camp is run by volunteers. Ticket prices cover the costs of hiring the venue, meals, firewood, incidentals, resources and feeding our volunteers. We also make a donation to Pay The Rent, with any additional funds feeding back into Punk Caterpillar programs and the overheads associated with the ongoing maintenance of our offerings.
Everything that comes through the camp goes straight back into Punk Caterpillar, helping cover the resources, materials and all the things that happen behind the scenes to make these experiences possible.
Come and be part of the village
Wild hearts, busy hands, adventures, deep connection and so much fun!

Teen-Tween Hike
Tuesday 15 - Thursday 17 December
A three camp and hike for teens and tweens, beginning near Castlemaine, with two nights camping at a private location. We will begin the hike near Chewton and hike to a private location where we will spend 2 nights, we will then hike back. A gentle challenge as we move toward longer hikes and other locations. Confidence building.
